Splash Pads in Midland, TX
XTO Splash Pad @ Dennis the Menace Park
The best of both worlds with all of these splash pads as the kiddos can play their hearts out in the water while the adults can supervise and stay dry.
XTO Splash Pad

The XTO Splash Pad is located within Dennis the Menace Park which was added when the park was renovated and updated several years ago. With the size of this splash pad along with the several slide features, it’s nearly a water park.

Momentum Ballpark Splash Pad
Seasonal
Catch a game and make a splash at Momentum’s splash pad. The splash pad is open during Rockhounds games but is also available throughout the week. During non-game openings, enter at the gates closest to the splash pad.

Centennial Park Splash Pad
If you’re out on the town enjoying the food, drink, shopping, and art of Downtown Midland and you find yourself in need of a quick cool off, look no further than the splash pad at Centennial Park. With plenty of places to sit and relax, this is the best option for spending the entire day here.

Public Pools in Midland, TX
These pools are open to the public at the start of the City of Midland’s pool season. With both of these options with recent renovations and updates, more fun opportunities came about.
There are punch cards available for purchase to use throughout the entire season. Inquire at the Martin Luther King Community Center or the Parks and Recreation Office for more information on purchasing these punch cards.
Entry is $3 per person with children under 2 being allowed entrance for free. Pool passes are sold in 3-hour sessions throughout the day to allow as many people a chance to swim. These passes go on sale 30 minutes before the pool opens.
Doug Russel Pool
Seasonal
Doug Russel Pool is complete with a trio of water slides, a kid-friendly swim area, a small river to float, a concession stand, and plenty of lounge chairs and shade.

Washington Family Aquatic Center

Washington Family Aquatic Center consists of 3 water slides, a water playground structure, a giant pool, a lazy river, a concession stand, picnic tables, and tons of room to set up the family for some fun in the sun.

Indoor Pools

COM Aquatic Center
COM Aquatic Center features several pools throughout the facility for both class opportunities and their competitive swim and dive teams. Classes start for children as young as 2 years old and there are several options for the adults as well. More of a lone wolf? The lap pool at COM is the perfect way to get your workout in via the swimming pool.

While these pools are open to the public, they require membership for the season for access to the pools. With as hot as it gets here in Midland, having any access to a pool is a great way to stay cool and cure summertime boredom.
Green Tree Country Club

Whether you live down the street from the Green Tree pool or you’re in a different neighborhood the pool is one of the best spots to be in the summer in Midland. Memberships are available to non-residents with access to the pool, dining facilities, fitness center, and tennis courts.
