Do you have your bobby socks and saddle shoes ready? The Bush Family Home State Historic Site is hosting a 1950s karaoke night on Friday, November 14 from 5-8 pm. This is part of their Atomic Age After Dark program series. There will be food, drinks, and an opportunity to show off your talent. Participants will be go back to the time of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and the Big Bopper and sing into a 1950s era microphone.
“It’s gonna be so much fun! I might even sing a few songs!” says educator Erin Frigo.
The Atomic Age after Dark series is the site’s adult quarterly program that included last July’s Trivia Night at the Waystone Brewery and this coming November’s Karaoke Night. Other fun nights centered around 1950s culture and the Bush Family are being planned.
