Uncle Kracker—born Matthew Shafer- spent over two decades crafting feel-good music blending country, pop, rock, and a touch of hip-hop. Known for his breezy, laid-back style, his songs are perfect for unwinding & escaping the daily grind.

He first gained attention as part of Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band. His 2000 solo debut Double Wide launched him into the spotlight, reaching #7 on Billboards 200 and earned double-platinum status. His 2002 follow-up No Stranger To Shame went gold & delivered more favorites.

Uncle Kracker scored #1 hits on Pop, Adult Contemporary, and Country charts. His breakthrough single “Follow Me” went platinum and topped charts in four countries. His duet w/ Kenny Chesney, “When The Sun Goes Down,” hit #1 on Billboard & went double-platinum.

A standout moment came with his cover of Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away,” which stayed #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart for 28 weeks—a Billboard record. Another smash, “Smile,” went triple-platinum and featured in The Office and Live With Regis & Kelly.

Live Oak Events Presents: Stoney Larue

Stoney LaRue is a cornerstone of the Red Dirt and Texas Country music scenes, celebrated for his heartfelt storytelling, powerful performances, and deep connection to his fans. Born in Taft, Texas, and raised in Yanush, Oklahoma, LaRue’s passion for music began early. His journey led him to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he became immersed in the vibrant Red Dirt music scene alongside influential artists like Jason Boland and Cody Canada. Together, they helped define the raw, soulful sound that Red Dirt is known for today. Inspired by legends like Woody Guthrie, Bob Childers, and Mike McClure, LaRue has built a career rooted in blending heartfelt lyrics with raw emotion and genre-defying creativity.
Over the years, LaRue has released a string of critically acclaimed albums that have cemented his reputation as one of the most respected voices in his genre. His 2011 album Velvet marked a turning point, debuting at No. 15 on the U.S. Country charts and No. 5 on the U.S. Indie charts. Produced by Frank Liddell, Velvet showcased LaRue’s introspective side, exploring themes of self-discovery with lush production. In 2014, he released Aviator, a bold and cohesive album that debuted at No. 17 on the U.S. Country charts and earned praise as a career-defining project for its signature laid-back Texoma sound. Shows are running June 6th through August 30th, 2025 every Friday and Saturday. The event begins at 7:30 PM!

Know Before You Go

#1 – You must have your I.D. on your person to consume alcohol.

#2 – No smoking inside the building.

#3 – No beverages may pass through the doors of the theatre
(either in or out). This includes non-alcoholic beverages.

#4 – In fact—no outside food or drink may be brought into the theatre – period.

#5 – Popcorn!
Only throw during Intermissions.
No throwing anything if seated in the Balcony.
Do not scoop up popcorn from the floor.
Do not throw wadded-up bags or cups.

#6 – To Be Safe – please remove jewelry from fingers, necks, and ears – popcorn wars can get rambunctious.

HAVE FUN, but be respectful of others and keep quiet during the show. Event Staff are volunteers with your safety and enjoyment in mind. Please respond promptly and courteously to any instruction received from them.

Most lost items are lost forever among the drifts of popcorn at your feet. However, if you ignore our suggestion and lose something of value, call the Midland Community Theatre Box Office, (432) 570-4111.

Dress is casual. Do not wear anything grease will ruin.

Sandals and flip flops are not recommended.

If you want to sing with The Croakin’ Toads pick the songs you would like to sing from the over 80 songs listed below and post them in the comments. We are going to give as many people a chance to sing as time will allow, but if we have the opportunity to let people sing more than once we will, so post a few songs in order of your favorite to least. First to comment, first served. If someone posts your number one song before you do then we will move on to your second favorite but we will still put you on the set list. After we finished the final set list but someone doesn’t show up or drops out and they had picked your favorite song then we will substitute your second favorite for your first. You will receive a set list and estimated time slot the day before the show.

Join us for Cultivate Your Chi, a soul-nourishing journey of meditation in motion through the graceful flow of Tai Chi and Qigong. This sacred practice is a beautiful blend of gentle movement, focused breath, and mindful presence — designed to bring balance to your energy and peace to your heart.

Led by the deeply gifted and compassionate Nick, each session becomes a calming and centering experience where your breath leads, your energy flows, and your spirit aligns. Nick brings decades of dedication to this ancient art, including training at the Grand Shaolin Kempo Temple in China and studying with Grandmaster Charles Mattera, student of the Shaolin Temple’s Abbot Shi Yongxin. His teachings are filled with authenticity, reverence, and a profound sense of inner stillness.

Summer Mummers: Debauchery on the Drawbridge

Shows are running June 6th through August 30th, 2025 every Friday and Saturday. The event begins at 7:30 PM!

Know Before You Go

#1 – You must have your I.D. on your person to consume alcohol.

#2 – No smoking inside the building.

#3 – No beverages may pass through the doors of the theatre
(either in or out). This includes non-alcoholic beverages.

#4 – In fact—no outside food or drink may be brought into the theatre – period.

#5 – Popcorn!
Only throw during Intermissions.
No throwing anything if seated in the Balcony.
Do not scoop up popcorn from the floor.
Do not throw wadded-up bags or cups.

#6 – To Be Safe – please remove jewelry from fingers, necks, and ears – popcorn wars can get rambunctious.

HAVE FUN, but be respectful of others and keep quiet during the show. Event Staff are volunteers with your safety and enjoyment in mind. Please respond promptly and courteously to any instruction received from them.

Most lost items are lost forever among the drifts of popcorn at your feet. However, if you ignore our suggestion and lose something of value, call the Midland Community Theatre Box Office, (432) 570-4111.

Dress is casual. Do not wear anything grease will ruin.

Sandals and flip flops are not recommended.

Must be present to win the evening’s door prizes, but still eligible to win a Raffle Prize!

Everyone must have a ticket, including babies who will be held on your lap the entire evening.
