As an a vocationalist Barth Robbins has been involved in local archeological societies and the Texas Archeological Society (TAS) and is currently an active Steward with the Texas Historical Commission (THC). His current interest is the Paleoindian period on the Llano Estacado, with particular interest in The Midland Discovery site that gained national attention with its 1953 discovery.
